Serenity is coming!

After ages of looking for and not finding any information on when Serenity in coming to South Africa, the nice people at Nu Metro were kind enough to let me know that it is due for release on 18 November!

I still have a bit of waiting to do, but I'm just so excited!

(Just in case you don't know, Serenity is based on the Joss Whedon TV series, Firefly.)

That's fantastic!

And crap all at the same time! Such a long wait. :-/

But it'll be worth it. Gives you 6 weeks to get as many people hooked as you can. :-)

I know it will be good.
I just hope they do a proper job with promoting it here.

Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

It always seems to me that movies that you don't know anything of beforehand are usually the most enjoyable. I just vaguely remember something mentioning something good about Serenity, so I'll try not to find out anything more about it then...

Does that mean you've never seen or heard of Firefly then?
I suppose it is not imperative to see the series first, but it does help.

Serenity has had some really goodreviews over here... so i'm interested in this, too. Yaay for good sci-fi!

I'm still hoping that V For Vendetta will be better, though... and fascinatingly topical in my country at the moment... as it's all about a "Terrorist" who goes around blowing up London to make a political point. The film- makers could end up in jail if our proposed new anti-terrorism legislation get passed in parliament.

The "Terrorist" is a total hero, though (If possibly mad)... at least he is in the graphic novel, on which this is all based...
