To all the short, curly black hairs on top of my head who refuse to even consider growing in the same direction as the rest of my hair after each wash:

And heyyy, i too have that problem... ell i do when my hair grows too long... i used to have long hair... long and almost impossible to cultivate into any shape that wasn't abstract in nature.
